The Kidney Foundation is heading on an intergalactic journey through the cosmos and we want you to come along for the ride. The extraterrestrial brunch will begin at 11am. The stars will align while you enjoy a heavenly specialty welcome cocktail, appetizers of the future, an open bar and interstellar desserts from out of this world New Orleans’ chefs and restaurants.

DJs will create the galaxy’s soundscape, while you step into the live feed photo booth to remember the event on the journey home. Other festivities include dancing, a live auction, a punch wall filled with a myriad of prizes for you to enjoy once back on earth. There will be a few added surprises that will make this an odyssey to remember.

Kidney disease is the 9th leading cause of death in the U.S., causing more deaths than breast and prostate cancer each year. Of the 113,000 Americans currently on the waiting list for a lifesaving organ transplant, more than 101,000 need a kidney, but only 17,000 people receive one each year. Every day, 12 people die waiting for a kidney transplant. In Louisiana, there are 1,800 individuals waiting for a lifesaving kidney transplant. Many of these people will not receive a transplant because of a shortage of organ donations. YOU CAN HELP! Please consider donating a kidney to a family member, a friend or to someone that needs your "spare". Living organ donors help others by giving them a second chance at life.
